I ordered a Canon 5D Mark II yesterday. I'm so. freaking. excited. For those of you that aren't involved in the camera geek world, this camera is amazing. The older 5D is a classic beauty but the Mark II blows my socks off. And it's mine. Well, in transit mine.
I have no idea what Canon camera this image is from, but I can't wait to capture moments like this. From Platt Photography.
P.S. There's still time to enter the overnight giveaway- open until midnight tonight Eastern time!

2 questions
1. I'm wanting to dive into to the camera geek world, do you think a canon rebel xs is a good starter cam?
2. My dad is trying to plan a surprise trip to Alaska for he & my mom's 25th anniversary. I remember that you're from there, do you have advice? Maybe make a post out of it?!
xo
oh yes holli, i'm on it.
as far as the camera goes, can your budget do a T2i? those look pretty nifty and I've heard good things about them. honesty if you can afford it, the T2i is a great consumer/beginner camera, the 50D is a great camera for the more serious enthusiastic. That's what my wedding images are from and it's not too expensive right now (well, okay... $900). BUT I have seen great images taken from a Rebel XSi as well. So I guess what I'm trying to say is what I can recommend is to do some research and check out the T1i, T2i and the XSi. I'd go for one of those if you're looking the Rebel series!
Waaaaaaaaant.
holli: I currently shoot with a lil Canon XTi (before the T2i came out!) ... it definitely is a nifty shutterbox, reliable and durable and worth every penny I've put into it. Think you'd be making a smart move with the XS for sure!
Cor: You ... are one lucky chica!! Trying so hard to not be extremely jealous right now ;)
p.s. would've entered your giveaway ... had I not been born in this beautiful land of Canada!
Oh I am so Jealous, I have a Canon 50D and I would love a 5D II! Enjoy.
