We're here! It's just been so crazy that I haven't found the energy to blog. We finally made it all the way, covering over 2,700 miles cross country. We towed the Jetta the entire time other than the 76.0 miles I drove before it sputtered to the side of the road and seized up in the middle of a snowstorm in the flatlands of Kansas. It mysteriously DIED for 3 days and then came back to life Jesus style. Now we're in a tiny little town where we can walk anywhere in 10 minutes and giant trees grow out the center of the streets. The main (and by this I mean currently the only) destination of this place is Mountain High, southern cali's closest winter resort. So we're all set if we want to snowboard or ski, but if we want internet at our house, a pharmacy for prescriptions, movie theater, brewery, dog park, on and on, we won't be finding it here. It's super cute though in it's Wrightwood way, and I have a feeling that this town and it's 4,000 residents will quickly grow on me. We'll all know each other I'm sure.
We found a new house and we get to move in tomorrow. I can. not.wait. Tucker will have a huge fenced in yard and we'll have 2 bedrooms, new carpet, new paint, and a big finished open downstairs area that we'll somehow have to make into something very cool. Rave parties? Pool tournaments? Yoga studio? Lego competitions?
Since I can't get normal internet at our place (ports are full? I call bs verizon, and now hate you), my only internet time is at the coffee shop that has 3 tables and 7 chairs. I'll plan on getting some pictures up soon, I tried to google image the town and couldn't find much, go figure. I'll put this one up, it gives you the general idea. Ready to move here and become my neighbor?! I thought so.
